Suzanne Elizabeth Schnacke

Suzanne Elizabeth Schnacke, 79, of Newburgh, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was the daughter of Bernard E. and Ruth (Bosse) Schnacke and born on July 10, 1944. She attended Prep School at Lake Forest Academy and then graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Suzanne was a dental assistant for Dr. Lewis Weis and taught dental assisting in Lexington, Kentucky and at USI. She was active in the Evansville Dental Assistants Society, the Indiana State Dental Assistants Association, and the National Dental Assistants Association. Suzanne was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she held numerous leadership positions and was a member of the Disciplineship Sunday School class. She belonged to the Evansville Duplicate Bridge Club. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Schnacke; and her brother, Edward F. “Ned” Schnacke. She is survived by her brother, Stephen B. Schnacke (Phyllis); life-long friend and companion, Carol Jourdan; sister-in-law, Martha Schnacke; nephew, Joshua Schnacke (Jennifer); nieces, Courtney Sasse (Jason), Kiersten Schnacke (Elizabeth Buckner), Whitney Mounts (Alex), and Hattie Rounder (Chad); and several great-nieces and nephews. Friends may visit on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel and on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Salem United Methodist Church. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Salem United Methodist Church with Pastor Bessie Adams and Rev. Randy Anderson officiating.
